As you may already know, your breast pump and breast feeding supplies are covered by Carefirst BCBS of MD, VA & DC; in addition to Carefirst members living across the US. We are contracted with Carefirst BlueCross BlueShield to provide breast pumps such as Spectra, Medela, Ameda etc to new and expecting moms across the country. Carefirst BCBS breast pumps are covered any time during your pregnancy, meaning that you may receive your breast pump at anytime before or after the birth of your baby. It is important to start the process as early as possible to ensure your breast pump arrives on time.

We will handle the insurance paperwork for you and we also contact your physician to obtain a prescription to ensure smooth submission of your claims to Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. Our system makes it extremely easy to order your Carefirst BCBS covered electric breast pumps (rental) and manual breast pumps; simply select your insurance company and select from our variety of double electric breast pumps available for Carefirst members only.

Does Carefirst Cover Breast Pumps? Yes, carefirst covers breast pumps and are required by ACA to cover breast pumps for moms who plan on breastfeeding their babies. Spectra S1 and Medela Pump In Style breast pumps are often preferred by carefirst members and are 100% covered for Carefirst members. We also carry resupply kits for these brands and several other breast pump brands
In addition to covering your breast pump, Carefirst BCBS may cover additional breastfeeding supplies and parts after the birth of your baby. While you breast pump will arrive with every parts and supplies needed to use and store milk, additional supplies may be covered at no cost. Additional breast pump supplies covered may include:
